Description:
This course covers: Fundamentals of electricity, magnetism, inductance, AC theory, introduction to electrical machines, transformers, rotating machines, AC and DC machines, periodic waveforms, complex numbers and their algebraic manipulation, fundamentals of rectification, transistors, triodes and amplifiers and their applications.

Assessment is continuous by assignments and a final examination, and may include laboratory work, design office work, field work etc.
Prerequisite: MPF 1301.
